ABOUT

Opal is an octopus living in Aegan Castle. She is the king's only daughter and heir, making her next in life for the throne. 

APPEARANCE

Opal has tentacle arms and legs, capable of great dexterity as she has the ability move each tentacle individually. She has three tentacles growing out the top of her head that acts as hair, with very little control over it. She has two very short, flipper-like tentacles on either side of her head and a typical octopus mantle draping down her shoulder that syphons on either side. While she doesn't have breasts she still wears customary merfolk chest shells and is decorated with royal pearl bands. While she does have a crown she prefers not to wear it (crown yet to be designed!)

CHARACTER

Opal is quite rumbunctious and boisterous and doesn't behave like your typical princess. She resents the stiff castle life and wishes to explore the world. 

ABILITIES

While Opal is merfolk and can transform to live on land she doesn't have a "legged form" per se. Instead her transformation is mostly internal, giving her lungs to breathe when out of the water and strengthening her tentacles to walk more stably on land. Opal has the ability to shoot ink as well as bend water. She knows a great deal of magic too, being particularly intrigued by the dark arts.

Kaede and Yuki are friends, having met when Kaede accompanied Opal on her trip to the shore.
